Ethics and Sustainability
Ethics
At Berchevelle, only conflict-free diamonds are sourced. Rough diamonds of uncertain origin, or those linked in any way to violence or unrest, hold no place within our collection. Guided by the Kimberley Process, established in 2003, we uphold the highest standards of transparency and responsible sourcing.
We stand firmly against violence, child labor, and all forms of inhumanity, ensuring that every creation reflects not only exceptional beauty, but enduring principles. For further insight into the Kimberley Process Scheme, we invite you to visit its official website.
Sustainability
Sustainability at Berchevelle is not a public declaration, but a principle woven into the way we create. We work with both natural and lab-grown diamonds, each chosen with care for its origin, traceability, and lasting value. Rather than viewing them in opposition, we see them as complementary elements of a considered approach to modern fine jewellery.
Our lab-grown diamonds, especially unique cuts, are crafted within our own cutting facility. This allows us to maintain direct oversight of every stage of production, ensuring precision in cutting, consistency in quality, and strict alignment with our ethical standards throughout the process.
The artisans who shape our diamonds work in an environment defined by respect, fairness, and dignity. We believe that true craftsmanship is inseparable from the conditions in which it is practiced. Each diamond is cut with exacting precision to maximize its brilliance while minimizing unnecessary waste, a disciplined approach that reflects our broader commitment to efficiency, clarity, and purpose.
Ultimately, we measure our success by the only thing that truly matters: the enduring brilliance and integrity of what we leave behind.
